Compare platforms fairly

Every ad platform names and counts things a little differently. AdSpectera lines them up so you can compare them in one table, and keeps the platform context visible so you can tell where a difference comes from.

What AdSpectera lines up

  • Metric names: spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, revenue, ROAS, CPC and CPA mean the same thing in every column.
  • Date ranges: one date range applies to every platform at once.
  • Currency: amounts are shown in your workspace currency, so totals add up.
  • Filters: the same platform, campaign and date filters work everywhere, from Analytics to Reports.

What stays different

AdSpectera shows what each platform reports; it does not re-attribute conversions. Keep these differences in mind when you compare:

  • Attribution windows: platforms credit a conversion to a click or view within their own window, and those windows differ.
  • View-through conversions: some platforms count conversions after an ad was only seen.
  • Revenue: conversion value depends on what your tracking sends to each platform.
  • Time zones: each ad account reports in its own time zone.
For budget decisions, compare trends on the same platform over time first, then compare platforms with each other.

A fair comparison in three steps

  1. Pick a period long enough for your sales cycle, at least 14 days for most shops.
  2. Compare cost per result (CPA) and ROAS rather than raw conversion counts.
  3. Open the breakdown by campaign to see whether one campaign drives the difference.
